All My Sons Project Profile
Family-Owned Moving Company Moves into Modern
For more than four generations, the Dallas-based moving company All My Sons has been relocating residential and commercial clients throughout Dallas, Texas and the United States. They recently had the opportunity of applying their own expertise to their business with their corporate relocation to Carrollton. Working with Richard Trimble & Associates and architect Roy Kindred, the owners found inspiration for their new modern workspace from this AutoStrada workstation by Knoll, which offers a beautiful entrance into the lobby of All My Sons new corporate headquarters.
As a moving company, All My Sons are the masters at maximizing any space. In order to get the most productivity from their new real estate, they chose to install 24 small footprint workstations for their open workspace area. The Dividends Horizon workstations are 42-inches high with frameless glass. The use of the mobile pedestal, which doubles as filing and extra seating for impromptu meetings and collaboration, allows optimal use of this efficient space. The integrated slat walls provide custom use of KnollExtra desk accessories, keeping clutter off the desk and maximizing the desktop surface. Each Dividends workstation installed in this project included a Generation by Knoll chair and a Sapper Duel Monitor Arm for individual ergonomic adjustments.
In addition to the open area, the corporate offices for All My Sons also includes seven private offices outfitted with the Reff Profiles private office workstations, mobile pedestal and Knoll’s de Armas side chairs for additional seating.
The client chose several selections from the KnollStudio collection. The Platner table and chairs bring both form and function to one conference room. And the Saarinen chairs are a more casual collection for another conference area.
Working with a company that specializes in relocation services brought an ease to this particular project because unlike most companies we work with, “move in day” is just another day at the job for these relocation experts.
