bauhaus Project Profile: 1st Global
1st Global is a Dallas-based, independently owned, wealth management partner. The growing company, which currently employees nearly 275 employees, relocated its offices from Campbell Center on Central Expressway to the 12th and 13th floors of an office building on Park Central in Dallas. bauhaus began work on this project in August of this year, and we will complete the project this month.
The goal with this project was to incorporate open plan workspaces rather than private offices. The 250 workstations were completed with low, 42”-paneled Knoll Dividends Horizons® or Knoll Template™. Rather than use the same workstations throughout, we developed three different types, tailored to three different work functions and different tasks. For example, the Template workstations are designed with more storage space than the Horizons workstations.
1st Global truly cares about its employees and wants employees to be proud of where they work. This is evident in the collaboration and breakout rooms we incorporated into their new office space. The 1st Global office has multiple employee lounge spaces filled with technology and books for employees to enjoy. A coffee shop style lounge, break room complete with a Wii and small huddle rooms integrated with technology are just a few examples of the auxiliary spaces in the new 1st Global office.
While private offices and workstations were completed with Knoll products (Knoll Reff Profiles™ in the private offices), we utilized a number of other product lines for other areas in the office such as Nucraft painted glass tables in the conference rooms, Krug training tables, ERG tables in the break room, Allermuir stools, Davis chairs, HBF chairs and lounge furniture and Bernhardt lounge chairs.
This was truly a collaborative effort between the bauhaus team, Benson Hlavaty architects and the 1st Global president and staff.
