Bowman and Brooke Project

Bowman and Brooke, LLP is a multi-state law firm headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In January 2011 Bowman and Brooke opened its Dallas office, which was temporarily housed at Cityplace. Early this year, Bowman and Brooke hired bauhaus for the relocation of the law firm’s temporary Dallas office to a permanent office at Saint Ann Court in Uptown’s Harwood district.

Bowman and Brooke, LLP occupies the 17th floor of the 26-story building in Dallas’ Uptown neighborhood. The new office was designed with eight partner offices, 27 associate offices, reception area, break room, and training room. Several offices were completed and left empty to make room for the firm’s planned future growth.

The Dallas office was standardized with Knoll products, including the Knoll Graham Collection® and Knoll Life® seating in each of the eight partner offices. The 27 associate offices are furnished with Knoll Reff Profiles™ and Knoll Life® seating. Bowman and Brooke selected Knoll products for its quality, craftsmanship and architectural elements. One primary desire of the law firm in this project was the use of natural light. To incorporate as much natural light as possible, offices were designed to keep windows clear and free of obstruction.

With the goal of meeting an aggressive schedule, giving each partner’s office an individual voice, and keeping within a budget, the bauhaus team collaborated with each partner to discuss his and her specific needs and desires. Associate offices were kept consistent with the firm standard to obtain continuity among the firm’s numerous locations. The delivery schedule on the Bowman and Brooke, LLP project was quick — programming was launched in February 2012 and the project was installed in May 2012.

In addition to Knoll products, the Bowman and Brooke office was accented with Mayline training tables in the training room, HBF lounge pieces in the reception area, and Paoli conference chairs and guest seating. Knoll Dividends® tables and Knoll MultiGeneration chairs were used in the firm’s break room.

The Uptown office is Bowman and Brooke’s first office in Texas. In honor of the great state of Texas, managing partner, Kurt Kern, envisioned the custom-designed “Texas Wall,” complete with an outline of the state, photos of unique Texas landmarks, and information on cases the firm’s wins. This unique element of the project came to life with the work of architect Brian Cox of Phoenix-based CoxJames Architects. Cox has worked with Bowman and Brooke on all of the firm’s projects nationwide.

The bauhaus team most enjoyed the teamwork between the Bowman and Brooke management team, Brian Cox, and JRT Construction. Upon completion of the project, Bowman and Brooke, LLP was very satisfied with the bauhaus team and products used, and as a result, bauhaus was awarded the Bowman and Brooke Austin office, set to install in early 2013.
