Knoll shines at NeoCon 2012

NeoCon 2012 — America’s largest design exposition and conference for commercial interior design was held June 11-13 in Chicago. More than 40,000 architecture and design professionals descended on Chicago for the conference with seminars, forums and more than 700 showrooms of commercial and residential interior products.

Knoll was one of the many exhibitors at NeoCon, with their showroom, “Connect,” complete with new corporate furniture designs and trends. Here are a few highlights from the Knoll NeoCon 2012 Showroom:

Technology – The ability to quickly access power and data is essential for businesses. Knoll offers accessible power and data solutions that integrate with the latest in technology and furniture that encourages collaboration. A few products featured include the Power Pole, Power Cube and Totem Tower — a variety of power options for technology devices.

Office Seating – Knoll’s newest option for office seating is the Toboggan Chair, playful and practice solution a variety of uses. It is a sled-based chair and allows users to shift 360 degrees in the seat. Knoll’s Regeneration family of chairs are designed to “let you sit how you want to sit.”

FilzFelt – For the first time, Knoll introduced FilzFelt products at NeoCon 2012. FilzFelt, founded in 2009 by Kelly Smith and Traci Rollof, is German-milled, 100 percent wool felt products including floor coverings, perforated panels and felt wall panels. Felt is eco-friendly, durable and has acoustic benefits, as felt absorbs sound. FilzFelt is available in 58 Pantone-matching colors and five different thicknesses.

Antenna® Workspaces – Freedom and mobility, flexible workspace, empowering users to shape their own workspaces. Workers are able to easily turn a focused workspace into a collaborative team workspace. Antenna Workspaces are designed to encourage spontaneous work with products including the Toboggan™ Chair. Another product introduced is the Power Pole, a mobile technology system, designed to be both utility for data and power, as well as useful for writing or tacking, and creating privacy.
