Meet Melissa Nemeth
Knoll, Inc. recently promoted Melissa Nemeth to the Regional Manager position for the Dallas region, which includes North Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Congratulations Melissa!
As Regional Manager, Melissa is responsible for the management of sales and distribution for the region, including seven distribution partners within the territory. Melissa brings more than 15 years of industry experience to this position. Melissa joined the Dallas Knoll sales team in July 2011 as the region’s Business Development Manager. Prior to joining the Dallas team, Melissa worked with her family’s Knoll dealership in South Florida as well as with the Designers Service Bureau where she directed the firm’s marketing and business development initiatives.
Melissa holds a Bachelor’s in Communications and Marketing from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from Kaplan University.
We sat down with Melissa to get to know her a little better. Here are some fun facts we learned about Melissa.
What is your favorite Knoll piece?
I love the Womb chair by designer Eero Saarinen. My mom has it in her home, and it has always been my most favorite chair to sit in with my children when they were babies. I always laugh at the irony of the name because it is truly such a perfect mommy/baby chair.
What is the first concert you attended?
The first concert that I went to was a Rick Springfield concert. However, I have attended six Bon Jovi concerts, and I love them. I act like a silly school at his concerts!
What is your favorite Dallas restaurant?
I am such a casual person, and so I love the Ice House on the Katy Trail on a beautiful Sunday. However, I recently dined at Nonna, and I loved it. I think that will quickly become my favorite date night spot … mmm handmade pasta and red wine … yum!
What is your favorite color?
Knoll Orange, of course!
What do you enjoy doing for fun?
I love theme parks and roller coasters. I am a thrill seeker.
What is your favorite aspect of being involved in Design in Dallas?
I have lived in Dallas for three years, and in that time I have really grown to love the spirit and dedication of the design community here.
The people in the DFW Metroplex that work in the design industry are such passionate and talented individuals. It has been both amazing and inspirational to be among this crowd. I am honored to be associated with Design in Dallas.
What is something the most people do not know about you?
I’m not a true redhead.
What is your greatest accomplishment to date?
Raising three boys who are respectful, honest and loving (with a lot of help from my husband!).
Congratulations, Melissa. We look forward to working with you in your new role!
