New Year, New Furniture Finds

Happy New Year!

Here at bauhaus we are easing back into the swing of things. New products and good design get us excited, so we’ve been trolling the internet for some new finds to spark some new ideas for projects. Oftentimes a single piece can be the starting point for an entire design concept, so we’re always on the lookout for new design details, shapes, and concepts.

Holmris/Wing

First up is from Holmris, a family-owned producer of high quality office furniture. We gushed about our love for Holmris in our blog from April of last year. You can read all about it here.

Wing is a beautifully designed product that has multiple functions. A welcomed departure from the bar-height breakroom/meeting table, Wing’s “futuristic and minimalistic design breaks the straight office space line”.

The lacquered surface is writable and combined with the “info wall” and power capabilities, it becomes a smart meeting  table equipped with technology.

JANUS et Cie/Azimuth

JeC commercial Contract

JANUS et Cie is bringing the outdoors…indoors. High quality design and manufacturing practices, JANUS offers many designs that fit right into the corporate setting.

Perfect for an open lobby or reception area, the geometric framework of Azimuth makes an elegant statement.

BUZZISPACE/BUZZIPICNIC

Also bringing the outside in is Buzzispace. Introduced at NeoCon 2014, Buzzi brings the concept of the picnic table to the corporate office. BUZZIPICNIC is all about community-collaborating for work and fun. “Now you can work, have a meeting, stop for lunch or enjoy a beer with your coworkers at the same multifunctional table. Open the windows and get the barbecue going!”

Arper/ Colina M Sled

arper

Arper is newer to the scene in the US, but it’s European design and manufacturing quality are sure to make it a new designer favorite. The Colina family of lounge chairs has a generous scale, perfect for spacious office interiors. The scultural body and interchange of space and void gives us a statement piece that can stand on its own.

Arcadia/Spot

PrintSpot mobile benches by Arcadia is what happens when a mobile pedestal and a stool have a baby. Spot is small enough to nest underneath a worksurface, but large enough for a collaborative grouping or lounge area.

Gone are the days when a piece of furniture has one function- each of these pieces has the potential for diverse uses and locations within the office environment.
