Travis Wolff Project Profile

Last year, bauhaus completed an office renovation and move for Travis Wolff Independent Advisors and Accountants. Travis Wolff has been a client of bauhaus since 2006.

In 2006, we worked with Travis Wolff to renovate and redesign the inside of their existing office. Travis Wolff’s goal on the project was to contemporize their space. They were so pleased with the outcome of the project that when their lease expired five years later, they contacted bauhaus to help them again on both their Dallas and San Antonio offices.

The Travis Wolff project in Dallas consisted of a move from their existing office to a two-floor office space in a new building along the Dallas North Tollway. Seventy-five percent of the new office space is comprised of workstations, whereas the other 25 percent are private offices.

The client’s goal of this project was to create an aesthetically pleasing, light, bright and sophisticated work environment. Employee retention was a primary concern for Travis Wolff — it was essential to create a space employees would enjoy. Harold Gaar, Managing Partner of Travis Wolff says the employees love the new space. “People have big smiles on their faces,” he said. “If you spend eight or 10, or on some days, 12 hours a day at the office, it’s nice to be in a place that is lovely and soothing and fun.”

Their old office space was dark and dreary, with high panels. Using Knoll Dividends® products, we transitioned them from 64-inch high panels in workstations to 42-inch high panels. In the private offices, we utilized Knoll AutoStrada™ storage-anchored products. It is open, airy and Harold says they receive compliments from guests who visit their office.

In addition to the Knoll products used, Travis Wolff also selected glass conference tables by Prismatique.

Purchasing furniture for your office is a big decision, Harold said. It’s a big expenditure, so you want to be sure you get what you pay for. “With bauhaus and Knoll, you get terrific furniture,” he said. “The design is outstanding. It is classic while still being contemporary.”

The other factor Harold said is important to consider is whom you work with on an office renovation project. “One of the things I found with bauhaus is that it’s just service, service, service,” he said. “They’ve been fabulous to work with, so we like that because it’s consistent with the way that we try to serve our clients.

bauhaus partnered with Benson Hlavaty Architects to complete the Travis Wolff project.
